Vincent A. Megna
Systems Test Engineer
Before joining the MIT Instrumentation Lab, Vincent Megna served in the Korean War and graduated from Marquette University. While at MIT and Draper he worked as a systems engineer. During the Apollo Program Megna made significant contributions to the design and operation of the ground support equipment for the Primary Guidance, Navigation, and Control System (PGNCS) used for the Apollo 11 mission. He was also one of the engineers who helped save the Apollo 14 moon landing.
After Apollo, Megna helped design and develop the first Digital Fly-By-Wire aircraft system; a technology that is used in all modern day aircraft.
