Philip Felleman
Apollo Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer
Philip Felleman graduated from MIT with a degree in mathematics and joined the Instrumentation Lab in 1954. He began with fire control systems and shifted into working on the Hybrid Simulation for Apollo. He later became the program manager for the Digital Fly-By-Wire program that was developed at the tail end of the Apollo missions.
Felleman spent 40 years working at the Instrumentation Lab/Draper Labs, retiring in 1993. He was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2010 for his work on Digital Fly-By-Wire.
