Bard Crawford
Reentry Control Engineer
Bard Crawford holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and a Doctorate in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. He worked in the MIT Instrumentation Lab (now Draper) in the 1960s, focusing on navigation and control systems. He worked closely with Dan Lickly on reentry for the Apollo Program. After Apollo, Crawford went on to work at the Analytic Sciences Corporation on Air Force, Navy, and NASA sponsored projects. He shifted into computer science, software, and a programming language called Ada, which brought him to start his own company in 1994, Stage Harbor Software.
